  1. 1

You answer the eligibility questions in your language and upload your documents; your client space tells you what is missing.

  2. 2

The LIORMA team prepares the forms and the cover letter; the lawyer reviews, corrects and signs; you approve with one click.

  3. 3

We file in the government portal, pay the included government fees and forward every letter received to you, until the decision.

You follow each step in your client area. The LIORMA team prepares; the lawyer advises, validates and signs. No decision concerning you is made without human review.

What the law says

Excerpts of the law are reproduced in their official French version; the explanation that follows is translated.

Loi sur l'immigration et la protection des réfugiés (L.C. 2001, ch. 27), art. 91 (2) a)
« Sont soustraites à l'application du paragraphe (1) les personnes suivantes : a) les avocats qui sont membres en règle du barreau d'une province et les notaires qui sont membres en règle de la Chambre des notaires du Québec; »

Only a lawyer, a notary or a licensed consultant may, for a fee, advise or represent a person on an immigration application. Me Guillaume Phaneuf is a lawyer and a member of the Barreau du Québec: he is the representative declared to IRCC for your file.

Frequently asked questions

How long does IRCC take?+

IRCC publishes the visitor record processing time in its online tool; it regularly exceeds several months. Whatever its length, your status is maintained as long as the application was filed before expiry (this is “maintained status”).

Who is my representative?+

Me Guillaume Phaneuf, lawyer and member of the Barreau du Québec, declared to IRCC through form IMM 5476 (and to MIFI through Mandate A-0525-AF when the process goes through Arrima). The LIORMA team prepares; nothing is filed without his review and approval.

Do you guarantee the decision?+

No. Decisions belong to IRCC and MIFI. The processing times shown are those published by the governments, as of the date indicated, and they change. What we guarantee: a complete, consistent file, reviewed by a lawyer before filing.

In which language can we communicate?+

In French, English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi or Punjabi: you write to us in your language, and we reply in yours. The fee agreement is provided to you in French first; you may then choose another language (Charter of the French Language, s. 55).
