  2. 2

The LIORMA team prepares the application or the defence and the hearing plan; the lawyer reviews and approves.

  3. 3

You sign, file online (fees paid by you) and appear, prepared; we monitor the docket and remind you of each deadline.

You follow each step in your client area. The LIORMA team prepares; the lawyer advises, validates and signs. No decision concerning you is made without human review.

What the law says

Excerpts of the law are reproduced in their official French version; the explanation that follows is translated.

Loi sur le Tribunal administratif du logement (T-15.01), art. 73
« un avocat ne peut agir si la demande a pour seul objet le recouvrement d'une créance qui n'excède pas la compétence de la Cour du Québec en matière de recouvrement des petites créances »

When the application seeks only the recovery of a sum of money within the small claims limit (CA$15,000, Code of Civil Procedure, art. 536), the lawyer cannot act before the Tribunal; the lawyer can advise you and prepare the file, and you appear yourself.
