What the law says

Excerpts of the law are reproduced in their official French version; the explanation that follows is translated.

Before refusing, suspending, cancelling or revoking a permit or imposing conditions, the Régie summons the person with at least 20 days' notice (s. 32.1). The Régie may review its decision for a new fact, a failure to be heard or a substantive defect (s. 37), and the decision may be challenged before the Tribunal administratif du Québec within 30 days of its notification (s. 40.1).
